Democrats, No Need to Worry About Kamala Harris Tonight
Vice President Harris brings the experience, temperament, and skills needed to effectively prosecute the convicted felon on the debate stage
Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will debate tonight at 9 p.m. in Philadelphia. This is their first and likely only debate of the campaign. I’ve watched every presidential debate since 1988, and I’ll be tuning in again to see Trump hurling insults at Harris and spreading falsehoods.
Attacks on Harris
Since President Biden endorsed Harris as the Democratic nominee, Trump and his supporters have attacked her race, gender, intelligence, and experience. These attacks are reminiscent of past political smears, such as the Willie Horton ad against Michael Dukakis, the birther conspiracy against Barack Obama, and the misogynistic and sexist attacks on Hillary Clinton. I expect more insults from Trump tonight.
